I'm a good student when it comes to statistics, but this manual--I really don't like it and believe that statistics professors should consider manuals by other authors. It only contains a sample test for each CLEP - and there are no detailed answers. It just seems like the older you get, the more your brain classifies "memory" as disposable!

Text complete, clean and tight but a little age-tanned. I took the exam this morning and passed. I skimmed most chapters and did all the practice problems. One thing to beware of though, is that the scoring is off on the practice exams on the CDs which, I believe are the same as those in the book. These are the two treatments. It does seem like there is info on the test that was not in the book, but the book gives you most of the concepts you need to figure out stuff you don't know on the exam.
MyStatLab should only be purchased when required by an instructor. I would definitely recommend it to others who are also taking this class. It was a fast read - about 2 hours for pages. I studied it for about 2 hours a day for 5 days, as well as did questions in the back and in the official CLEP study guide.

See all 15 /5(17). Jul 05, · I'm not sure what teachers and professors see in this book, but it is simply not good. It seems as if the authors merely pumped this book out to make a quick buck, put little thought or care into the material, and stamped it as the "up to date edition".
